KK was born on August 23, 1968 in Delhi. His heartfelt voice and romantic songs made him a beloved figure in Indian music.

After completing his studies at Kirori Mal College, University of Delhi, KK started his journey in music. He initially worked in marketing, but soon followed his passion for singing.

In 1994, he sent a demo tape that had him singing for commercials, which launched his career. Her big break in Bollywood came in 1999 when she sang 'Tadap Tadap' in the film *Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam*.In the same year, he released his first solo album, *Pal*. Songs like "Pal" and "Yaaron" became popular for their themes of friendship and nostalgia, connecting deeply with people of all ages.

During his career, KK showed his talent by singing more than 500 songs in Hindi and more than 200 songs in other languages ​​like Telugu, Bengali, Kannada and Malayalam. He has also recorded around 3500 tracks in 11 languages, making him one of the most prolific playback singers in India. KK has received several accolades, including six Filmfare Award nominations and two Star Screen Awards. His ability to express deep emotions through music has left a lasting impression on listeners and earned him a place among India's finest artists.

Sadly, KK passed away after his last concert in Kolkata. To honor his impact on Indian music, a statue was erected in the city where he last performed, celebrating the unforgettable legacy he left behind.
