Chhattisgarh News: A case of taking bribe in the name of making ration cards has come to light in Raipur Municipal Corporation of Chhattisgarh. Here a Municipal Corporation official has been caught taking bribe from people in the name of making BPL and APL ration cards. Now it is being said that an investigation will be conducted in this matter.
According to the information received, Assistant Revenue Inspector Madhav Avadhiya posted in Raipur Municipal Corporation Zone-2 office has been caught taking bribe of Rs 50 and Rs 100 from the poor in the name of giving ration cards.
Local people say that the whole game of bribe is being done in collusion. At the same time, other employees of Zone-2 say that Madhav Avadhiya had earlier also been accused of negligence in work and taking bribe. He has also been suspended for this reason. Once again the case of corporation employee Avadhiya taking bribe has come to light.
Officers of Raipur Municipal Corporation said that there is a provision to give BPL cards to the people for free. There is a provision of taking only 10 rupees for APL ration card, but here the officers are taking as much bribe as possible from the people. At least 50 to 100 rupees are accepted. If someone does not pay the money, then his card is suspended. To avoid this problem, people are being forced to pay money.
Regarding this matter, ward councilor Anwar Hussain says that the revenue department of the Municipal Corporation is the most corrupt department. Here people are being extorted in lieu of making ration cards. All the officers from top to bottom are involved in this matter. Anyway, Zone-2 Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Raipur RK Dongre has said that an inquiry will be conducted regarding the bribery case.
