The first solar eclipse in 2024 will be on Amavasya in Chaitra. This time the eclipse will be on Monday, April 8. The eclipse begins at 9:12 PM on April 8 and ends at 2:22 AM on April 9. The central time of the eclipse will be 11:47 p.m. There will be a total solar eclipse lasting 5 hours and 10 minutes.

Will the Sutak season be observed in India during the lunar eclipse?
