Mamata Banerjee, the Chief Minister of West Bengal, participated in the Eid prayers held on Kolkata's Red Road and while addressing the gathering, she stated that she would sacrifice her life for the country but would not allow the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) and the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) in Bengal.West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee participated in a program organized for Eid prayers on Red Road in Kolkata, where she extended Eid greetings to everyone. During this event, she said, "This is a festival of joy. It is a festival of strength. Celebrating this Eid by fasting for a month is a big thing... We are ready to shed blood for the country, but we will not tolerate atrocities for the country. The Uniform Civil Code is not acceptable. I want harmony in all religions. I want your security." She accused the BJP of selectively calling Muslim leaders and asking them what they want. Addressing the Eid prayers, Mamata Banerjee clearly stated that she will not allow the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code, NRC, and CAA.
