If you don't come back within 24 hours, what will happen?

If you're going to Nepal for a holiday, make sure you know the rules, or you might get stuck! Many people from Gorakhpur go straight to Nepal for vacations. They enjoy the natural scenery. Sometimes, people coming from other places have to stop at the border because they don't have enough information.

People from the Gorakhpur region and surrounding districts often go to Nepal without any hesitation during the summer holidays or weekends. They sit amidst the hills, have picnics, and enjoy themselves. However, many times due to lack of information, people are stopped at the border. Then they are unable to enter, but if you also want to go to Nepal to see waterfalls and the natural beauty of the mountains and celebrate your vacation, then you'll have to get a permit made along with your identification card to enter. Keep these things in mind.

How much will be entry fees?

The entry tax will depend on the number of days stayed after crossing the border. If travelers fail to return within 24 hours of obtaining the permit, they will be required to pay tax for the duration of their stay before being allowed to leave. This new system aims to simplify the process for tourists traveling from India to Nepal.

Based on the Nepali currency, individuals from India are required to pay different entry fees: 200 rupees for a two-wheeler, 600 rupees for a four-wheeler, 9600 rupees for a truck, pickup, or mini-truck, and 400 rupees for an auto-rickshaw. Similarly, a tractor incurs a tax of 500 rupees, while a trailer tractor is taxed at 800 rupees. This receipt covers one day's tax.
